Human Rights

With a strong background in international human rights law, Jan would be happy to advise you on any human rights claims that you may have – whether as independent claims or as part of another claim or application you are making.

Certainly in relation to immigration and/or asylum cases, article 8 (right to family and private life) and article 3 (prohibition of torture) of the European Convention on Human Rights are usually the most pertinent provisions and Jan is in an excellent position to advise you on their relevance or applicability to your case. If found to be applicable and relevant, Jan can draft any submissions (including applications for leave to remain and fresh claims), appeal grounds or judicial review grounds taking into account your rights under the Human Rights Act 1998, the European Convention on Human Rights and international law (where applicable).
