PRACTICE
Jan practices in Immigration, Asylum and Human Rights Law. He has a particular interest in general Discrimination cases, Employment Law and also undertakes Civil and Personal Injury cases.
He regularly appears at the First and Upper Tier Tribunal in asylum and immigration cases on behalf of a wide spectrum of clients with varying issues. His wide experience ranges from and includes preparing for and appearing at:
· Substantive immigration and asylum hearings
· Fast-Track hearings
· Deportation cases
· Bail hearings
· Administrative Court cases/judicial reviews
· Court of Appeal cases
In addition to human rights cases, Jan also undertakes all types of Entry Clearance cases and EC Law.
He regularly advises on Judicial Review applications and applications to the Court of Appeal. He frequently acts in:
· Emergency applications to the High Court to stop removals
· Unlawful removal cases
· Cases involving Medical Issues
Jan furthermore advises directly on immigration applications for entry clearance
applications, in country applications for all kinds of immigration visas including
applications for leave to remain as a self-employed business person under the Ankara
Agreement.
